Area Sync

AreaSync is a tool developed for Perkins&Will designs teams, providing them with real-time information from a building information modeling (BIM) cloud database. This data is visualized and shared in a common dashboard, allowing designers to quickly analyze large amounts of data from different models and software without adding additional workload. This enables designers to focus on delivering exceptional solutions to clients, knowing that the tool is providing them with the information they need to make the best possible decisions.

In addition to helping designers, AreaSync can also be used to share information with clients. This can help to foster better communication and collaboration between designers and clients, and provide clients with real-time updates on how their building is being designed and how it is progressing towards their desired specifications.

AreaSync has been utilized in various projects, including complex masterplans. When applied to these projects, the tool enables designers to verify that each section is designed in accordance with the appropriate specifications, while also ensuring that the entire building is built within budget. This feature can prove especially valuable for projects where square footage costs and design impact are crucial considerations.

As an industry we are often tied by software applications, having to constantly extract dumbed down, immutable information. With the AreaSync platform we can connect multiple data types with a unique identifier that is interoperable between applications and display the data in an easy to use dashboard.
